Our Story

Rutledge was founded in San Luis Obispo in 1979 by Dan Rutledge, fresh out of Cal Poly, with a clear commitment: manage commercial properties the way an owner would want their own property managed, with integrity, responsiveness, and genuine, personalized service.

More than four decades later, that commitment hasn't changed. What started as a single-founder operation has grown into a full-service team with in-house construction and maintenance capabilities, but the focus has always stayed the same: consistent, proactive management that protects and grows the long-term value of every property we serve.

Today, Rutledge continues to serve the Central Coast with the same standard our clients have always trusted, and the same dedication to the relationships that got us here.
